Automeris io moth - Automeris io - female

Automeris io moth - Automeris io - Female
Lake Park, MN USA, Minnesota, USA
She eclosed about a month, ago, January 7, 2008. In my bedroom, of course. As do all my moths. I took this picture within an hour of her eclosing, using a flash ring. I desaturated the background to highlight her coloring. I like to refer to her as my Golden Lady.

Io moth in January?
Nice pic, but please do not record the dates of insects raised in captivity in the box reserved for dates. This is only for specimens observed in the wild (i.e., outdoors). The data page is misleading when you post dates this way, but if you want to put this information in the comments, that is OK. Thanks.

Thanks for catching that
fixed

another fix needed
Greg also posted a pic of an Io that ecloseded in Feburary, so you should fix that one, too. Thanks.

Done
Thanks again
