Wasp emerged from dogwood leaf mine

Wasp emerged from dogwood leaf mine
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 20, 2019
Size: 1mm
Leaf mines in two leaves of Cornus alterniflora collected on 15 July 2019 each contained a dark pupa. The one in the smaller leaf (pictured) was larger. An adult wasp emerged from that leaf on 20 July 2019, possibly a braconid. Id needed. The mines were keyed out as Phytomyza agromyzina.
