Tiny acalyptrate fly with wing markings - Trixoscelis? - Trixoscelis signifera
Presidio, Dragonfly Creek, San Francisco County, California, USA
July 8, 2019
Size: ca 2 mm
Caught in Malaise trap 4-13 July 2019. Definitely with a subcostal break and vibrissae. Did not see a humeral break, but could be wrong there. Trixoscelis maybe?

Thanks John!
Wing markings look good and location is good per the Foster revision. I didn't see any swelling of the basal tarsal segment, but it sounds like it could be "slight"... I also can't see any acrostichals at all on the specimen, but maybe they were rubbed off... I am starting to HMDS treat small flies like this, so hopefully they will be less shriveled..
