Species Determination
José L. Fernández-Triana, Ph.D. was sent 6 specimens for his microscopic determination. His conclusion was “Cotesia theclae (Riley, 1881).” So this photo and the 7 others can be relocated accordingly. Dr. José also confirmed it was previously associated with the Gray Hairstreak in Texas. Thanks to him and the BugGuide staff for the referral we can put a scientific name to a face.
