Northern Paper Wasp - Polistes fuscatus

Northern Paper Wasp - Polistes fuscatus
Hobart, Lake County, Indiana, USA
July 24, 2019
The wasp found the remains of a 1/2 eaten Monarch caterpillar, on a blooming Common Milkweed plant... proceeded to eat the remains, until it was approached by another wasp of the same species, and the 2 wrestled over the remains until finally pulling the remains apart (one wasp flew away with his spoils, the other remained and ate his portion)
