Large fly with spotted wing and white on abdomen - Xenox tigrinus
Walpole, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
July 25, 2019
Size: 1 inch
This large fly with spotted wings landed on a leather glove and refused to move from it. Note the symmetric white triangles on the end of the abdominal segments. Can you identify the sex also?

No clue as to the sex. They don't appear to be terribly dimorphic.
