E. tricarinatus?
E. fasciatus has a completly white abdomen. According to Arnett, brown pubescence on middle portion of abdomen (at least) would be E. tricarinatus

 
Nick, 2 things:
1. I think this is the first time a ventral photo actually made a difference in one of my posts. Cool.

2. I was originally delighted 3X: that a college student found the beetle, in the yard, and it was an insect I had never met.

3. E. tricarinatus is even more fun (for me) than E. fasciatus
