Swammerdamia caesiella

Swammerdamia caesiella
Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, USA
July 26, 2019
on white birch (Betula papyrifera)
I sent the picture of the larvae I had found last year and an adult from this year to Terry Harrison, he replied "my understanding is that both Swammerdamia pyrella (/beirnei) and Paraswammerdamia nebulella are known only from the far Northwest (Washington, USA and British Columbia, Canada). So, your moth and your caterpillar, being from Vermont, should be Swammerdamia caesiella."
