handsome fungus beetle - Aphorista laeta

Size: approx 8mm
This beetle was under a piece of rotting oak bark. Species ID based on photo at SBMHH and Evans and Hogue's (1) description of the other Aphorista species in California, which doesn't have the same markings as this beetle on the pronotum and elytra. (The elytra and center of pronotum on A. morosa are almost black.)
