Here's a lateral view. By the way, "nemoralis" translates into "of the woods" or "sylvan", so the common name MAY be "Forest Searcher"...

"Searcher"
As far as I know, the term "searcher" applies only to the genus Calosoma, but I am happy to be corrected if someone knows differently. Fabulous images, Tony, showing the metallic sheen nicely!

I upgraded my flash and got a light diffuser for minimizing "Beetle-glare"...

"Searcher" I got from the info page on Carabinae...
