At the gathering I photographed an Ox Beetle. Later, cropping, I zeroed in on the eye and then cranked up the contrast. Here are the results.

The grid pattern is a reflection of the window screen on which he sat, and the two bright circles are reflections of my flash, but you can think of them as the twin suns on a planet in a galaxy far away.
