Explanation of Names
Wymore 1934
One of the more variable species of Okanagana. There are two main color forms; a rare red form and the more typical dark form with a strong degree of gradation.

In the dark form the mesonotum is black with variably extensive red markings. Pronotum black with red on either side of the pronotal midline. This can cover most of the pronotum or just be sparse. Wing venation varies from red to mostly black. Abdominal tergites banded with bright red in most specimens.

Red form with same structure but glossy red. There is a strong degree of intraspecific variation and a gradation appears to exist between the the dark and red forms.
Generally found along the Sacramento River corridor in CA.
Found in deciduous woodlands along the Sacramento River corridor.
