Just guessing,
but from your choice of image here it seems like you don't know how to sex a spider. You need an adult specimen (not sure if that's what you have here) and you need a clear view of the end of the palps. See explanation here.

 
You're right that it was...
a poor choice of image and statement of question. I do know how to sex them. Hadn't been able to get a good shot of pedipalps, including from the front. Got one today and submitted it in reply to Jeff.

like an immature male to me at the antepenultimate or penultimate stage.
