Ixodidae larva or nymph?

Ixodidae larva or nymph?
Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
August 1, 2019
Size: less than 1mm
I found this tick on me after walking through the Pine Barrens of NJ. This photo was taken through a microscope set at about 40x magnification.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Leg count
How many legs does it have? 6 and it's a larva, 8 and it's a nymph. I think I only see 6 in the photo, but I'm not sure.

Leg count
It only has six. Do you know the species?

Difficult to ID
Larvae are very difficult to ID. If I had to guess though I'd say Amblyomma americanum. But I'm not certain on that.
