Nicrophorus parasite? - Nicrophorus

Nicrophorus parasite? - Nicrophorus
Fairbanks, Grenac Rd, Fairbanks North Star County, Alaska, USA
August 4, 2019
I found this Nicrophorus beetle at a black light and when I started photographing I noticed it was crawling (mostly on the underside), with these tiny bugs. The Nicrophorus was still alive and moving around, slowly.

Can the beetle be id's to species? And does anyone know about the small things - are they a parasite? or are they young of the Nicrophorus?

cannot get to species
as key characters of the epipleuron cannot be seen.

Moved
Moved from Carrion Beetles.

Moved to Silphidae for expert identification.
Moved from Beetles.

The small critters...
...are mites. They're probably phoretic--in other words, just hitching a ride.

Cool! Thank you,Ken.
