Western White? - Pontia

Western White? - Pontia
Linu Coulee, Potholes Wildlife Area, Grant County, Washington, USA
July 14, 2019
While walking along some vegetation lookin for odes and butterflies, I noticed that all of the butterflies were white butterflies but it wasn't until I began to photo-edit this image that it was different than the Cabbage Whites and Checkered Whites and I determined from Glassberg's West guide that it appeared to match up to a male Western White.

Moved to Pontia sp. for expert identification.

White
What about Becker's White? I find the two difficult to separate without seeing the underside of the wings.

Western White versus Becker's White
I've not seen either of the species before so I'm open to suggestions. I decided on Western because the picture on Page 53 of Glassberg's West guide shows the markings being toward the black side and not the brown side and there appear to be no markings on the hind wings from the top side as there is with Becker's.
