More likely neither
The fact that the prey isn't a tarantula fairly well excludes any of the
Pepsis
in our area. The wing venation isn't very clear, but what's visible also eliminates
Pepsis
by definition. Note as well the lack of any blue reflections on the body.
Cryptocheilus
with orange or yellow wings usually have much more extensive black margins to the wings. I would again be looking more toward
Entypus
, but a genus determination generally requires a clearer view of wing venation to be positive.
