Possible Sawfly species - Tachytes

Size: ~3/4 inch
I hope I'm close in thinking that this is a sawfly. They were burrowing into a dirt pile in what appeared to be a loose colony with multiple entrance holes.

Moved from terminatus group. Probably moved to Tachysphex by accident. This is a Tachytes without any shadow of a doubt.

I guess I screwed up, but...
...I'm a little confused. This image doesn't really resemble any of the others on the terminatus group pages. Can you tell me what I missed that puts this one here? Thanks!
