I thought I saw this in the guide before, but I can't seem to find it.

I guess the pronotal color is rather variable in this species.

I think. See photo at Cedar Creek. Eric mentioned here that Pedilidae has now been dissolved into Pyrochroidae (Pedilus is listed under Pyrochroidae at Nearctica).

I want to say Cantharidae, but the pronotum looks too smooth and globular for the family.
