Host plant?
Ah good point, forgot about the other. Not sure I can tell them apart.
Do you know the habitat and any host plants nearby? That may help to quote
"In SoCal at least, Mournful are found around oak, while Funereal are in more grassy areas and typically on deerweed."

Kearney & Peebles "Arizona Flora" has no listing of Lotus scoparias or "Deerweed". SE AZ has some Oak savanna habitats so I'd bet both Mournful & Funereal Duskywings may occur. I need to check Walsh's work in SE AZ. We have Quercus turbinella & Q. emoryi locally, especially the former.
