I think this is a Camponotus texanus instead. Could not find any male atriceps online but the imaged male has thicker legs than male floridanus (a similar species). C. texanus is in range and more common in San Antonio, and the pictures of other males online matches up well to the leg color and thoracic pattern.

Hmmm...
looks like two pair of wings and a constricted "waist", so probably Hymenoptera. How big was it? I'm thinking a winged ant or small wasp, but let's see what more knowledgable folks think...

C. atriceps
. Compare with this set of images of male of the very closely related
C. floridanus
