Hexagenia rigida
Hi More Bugs Please,

I believe that this female subimago is actually Hexagenia rigida. It has the bold and distinctive crown-shaped tergal markings on segments 2-7 that transition to markings that look like a three-pronged pitchfork or trident with kinked outer forks on 8 & 9. Those markings are typical of rigida females. (The crown-shaped markings typically continue through 8 & 9 on the males.) Supporting characters are the darkened humeral veins near the base of the forewings and the dark crossveins in the disc of the hindwing with no dark long veins. (Burks '53 used this latter character to distinguish rigida females.)

Best,
Lloyd
