Moved, tentatively
It keys out to Micratopus, for me. But it's obviously not the species known from the U.S.! Unless it's just teneral and deformed, but I don't think that's the case. The dehiscent elytra and narrow pronotum make this one odd and awesome beast.
I've asked a couple people about it, and will update here if they have any other ideas.

Unfortunately, I left this beetle in a relaxing chamber for far too long along with other critters. Of course, they got moldy and had to be discarded.
