Looks to be that species (confertus)--they always look a bit weird in pictures compared to under the scope!

This is very obviously not the distinctive Ataenius gracilis.
This has clypeal teeth, round punctures on head, broad overall form.

Sorry Blaine if my wild guess influenced your species determination... At least I guessed it correctly to genus level, which apparently is the most accurate determination possible based on these photos.
