Ground Beetle - Chlaenius tomentosus
Presqu'ile Provincial Park - north shore of Lake Ontario, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada

Size: approx. 11mm
I can't find anything in the guide with this beetles combination of shape, leg colour and pitted surface. Any ideas are appreciated. Various angles submitted.

Genus
Chlaenius is correct. most likely Chlaenius tomentosus.
