Not an ID
It looks like a California Mantid (Stagmomantis californica). Could also be Bordered mantis (Stagmomantis limbata). In any case, stunning photo!

Ted, Thanks. One of at least four or five species of mantids in the yard. The males (presumably this species) are attracted to our screens by the dozens. I'm anxious to get a better photo of a Unicorn Mantis than I've gotten so far to post to BugGuide. RAB
