Dragonfly in Tim Hortons - Boyeria vinosa

Dragonfly in Tim Hortons - Boyeria vinosa
Pembroke, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada
August 12, 2019
Size: About 3.75"
This rather large dragonfly popped into the local Tim Hortons to sample the all-day breakfast menu, and was disappointed to find that it didn't include any mosquito-based offerings. I had to use both hands to safely cup this criiter and release it outside.

Fawn Darner
Thanks for the quick ID, Tony! I figured it was a darner of some type just from the sheer size of it. Male or female?
