Identification
Line or groove in the body separating sclerites.
In Coleoptera (beetles), elytral suture refers to the midline where the two halves separate [usually].
In certain Diptera (flies), suture refers to the notched line uniting the two section of the scutum. The Dipteran suture is sometimes split into two on either side of the scutum.
