Family Ichneumonidae - Ichneumon Wasps, ID please - Alabagrus texanus
Skidaway Island, Savannah, Ga., Chatham County, Georgia, USA
August 19, 2019
This is my first locate of this wasp species which I believe might be (Limonethe maurator) of the Family Ichneumonidae - Ichneumon Wasps. All referenced images reflect, within the first quarter, a short white area, app 1-2 mm long, of an overall black antenna! However, my locate appears to have all black antenna. It was app 12:00 noon, harsh lighting, not the best images of this very small wasp. I note the red femur, 3rd leg! I also am aware that (Limonethe maurator) is not listed as having been a Georgia locate!

ID please?

Ross- many thanks for having
Ross- many thanks for having vetted my submission and identifying this wasp as, Alabagrus texanus (female) of the Braconidae family.

I was very far off the mark and again have shoe leather in my mouth, should never have ventured out of my comfort zone and pretended to be able to identify this small, beautiful female. My respects to you and the midnight oil that has gone into your service to BugGuide.net!
