Conocalama brullei - male Conocalama brullei - male

another example?
Seen recently in my North Carolina Piedmont yard, and I got a few decent images:

I thought it was Pepsis menechma until I looked at the photos ccarefully, then I thought Gnamptopelta obsidianator, but saw Tom's photos here and said hmmm. Any opinions on mine?

Moved
Moved from Ichneumoninae.

T1 has a strong conical projection at the base, and the genae bulge out rather than receding behind the eye.

Moved
Moved from Gnamptopelta obsidianator.

I see no evidence of the requisite pyramidal scutellum. This may be I. centrator instead or possibly Conocalama brullei.

Moved
Moved from Ichneumon Wasps.
Thanks Ross. It stayed on the moth sheet for a couple hours.

Gnamptopelta obsidianator (male)…
Rarely attracted to lights.
