Size: FW = ~14.5 mm
I think this is Evergestis simulatilis, attracted to light, and a really good looking example. I have photographed 3 of these this season (along with one other Evergestis that is not simulatilis and not yet submitted) and after a thorough look at Evergestis, Prorasea, Cornifrons, and other genera I think this is E. simulatilis despite it not being reported in my area. MPG does show simulatilis in CA. The other 2 I've submitted look like this one except 1 is much more brown.
