Without the adult image, I'd have guessed some kind of Pug for this caterpillar - check here and here and see what you think.

Thanks... The adult sure looks a lot like members of that genus. With 150 species to choose from, maybe that's the best I can hope for (clearly there are some that can be eliminated, but several seem pretty close).
