Punctate Carabid - Selenophorus palliatus

Punctate elytra and basal corners of pronotum depressed. But what is it?

This Selenophorus palliatus
nicely shows the required large (foveate) seriate punctures atop the elytra. Selenophorus (1) and its many sister genera of the New World are the focus of my taxonomic research.

Stephen, I placed your American and Neotropical Beetle websites among my favorites. My bias: please keep adding Neotropical carabid beetles! I noticed that under a couple "Selenophorus" images you have the unintended typos "Senolophus" sp.

Thank-you
Thanks for the ID, Peter. Thanks too for your kind words about americaninsects.net and for the spelling corrections, which I will make to the site. It is good to make a friend who is interested in Neotropical Carabids. Cheers!
