Tailed Copper - Lycaena arota
White Pine Reservoir picnic area, Arnold, Calaveras County, California, USA

Size: 1/2 inch + or -
I observed this Tailed Copper in the picnic area on the east side of White Pines Reservoir. I originally thought it was a skipper until I photo-edited it.

VERY worn Tailed Copper - Moved
The remnants of many of the field marks are still present,
though very hard to see.

Moved from Blues, Coppers, Hairstreaks, Harvesters.
