If you still have this specimen, please try to re-image the hind legs. This will help the experts to decide between the Giant Woodwasp, Urocerus gigas flavicornis and other closely related species.

There is more updated information on Wikipedia, which says that this North American sub-species is now considered to be a separate species, Urocerus flavicornis. BOLD has images of 5 specimens, but they are all females.
