Lycaena hyllus (or phlaeas?) - Lycaena hyllus - female

Lycaena hyllus (or phlaeas?) - Lycaena hyllus - Female
Fitzroy Provincial Park, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
September 8, 2019
Cannot decide whether this is is Bronzed or American Copper

Moved to Lycaena hyllus.
Moved from ID Request.

Yes, female Bronze Copper. The dark scaling along the veins in the forewing give it a messier look than in L. phlaeas.

A shot of the underside would have made your id much simpler but they don't always cooperate.

Thanks!
Thanks, Ken!
I did not take a photo of the underwing; it was too skittish.
