Wasp goes in and out of tiny hole in wood. - Euodynerus megaera
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
September 12, 2019
This wasp managed to get into a very small hole in a log. The hole itself seemed to have a circumference smaller than the wasp. I saw it put its wings back to get into the whole, but how did it get out of the whole effortlessly. I was impressed.

It entered and exited the hole probably every 20 seconds or so. In this photo it was out of the hole on a leaf. In the next photo I will add it was either entering or exiting the hole.
