I've seen this species before, but not looking like this. Wasn't sure. Are you sure? I looked at other examples and I suppose it could be. thanks

 
When the larvae have finished
When the larvae have finished feeding and crawl off to pupate, they seem to go darker. There are darker ones amongst other BugGuide pictures.

Confirmation by a lepidoptera specialist would help ease your mind.
