Size: 1/2 inch
The insect was found in low bushes near the river. The river has been flowing beyond its normal channel recentlly, so this could have been washed downstream. Note no wings.

This is a....
Ladybird Beetle larva.

I am not sure which species but i feel certain that it is neither a Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle nor a Seven-spotted Lady Beetle.

I never would have guessed. The only ladybird I have seen in this location is the 'spotted ladybird beetle'. I have not even seen the very common red and black ladybird beetle. Do the colours of the larva relate to the colours of the mature beetle?

I think you have a Convergent Lady Beetle larva.
