September 7, 2019: collected 2 mines on a leaf of Stiff Sunflower, Helianthus pauciflorus. One mine had an active pupa the other mine has something inactive.
September 13, 2019: moth emerged
Also found a dead parasitoid wasp in the vial.

Host plant
I don't suppose you have any photos of the leaf still attached to the plant? On first glance it seems more likely to be Helianthus pauciflorus than Solidago speciosa, but I'm not sure, and I don't know how reliable wing pattern is for separating Astrotischeria spp.

Actually I wrote down Helianthus and given there were only 2 species choices, this is the one it would be. But when the moth emerged I only noticed that there was one associated with Solidago so figured I had written down the wrong plant. I have since checked Helianthus pauciflorus and Solidago speciosa leaves in the field and they look nothing alike. I think Helianthus pauciflorus is the correct host plant ID.
