Thrip - Gynaikothrips ficorum

Thrip - Gynaikothrips ficorum
Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
March 12, 2008
Size: ~2 mm
One of several found on curled ficus leaves (I'll post images of the leaf damage as well). Browsing through the University of Florida site, this is likely G. ficorum, the Cuban Laurel thrip.

Wow.
What a spectacular image! Great to see you posting again, Tony.

Agreed
Excellent image of a very tiny (and fast-moving) critter.

Thanks Eric
I've been busy with work...and taking care of a little grub of my own:)
