Neonemobius cubensis - male

Neonemobius cubensis - Male
Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, Saratoga County, New York, USA
September 15, 2019
Found jumping across sandy path in open grassland. Distoventral spurs of hind tibiae are unequal (rules out Eunemobius), and small size rules out Allonemobius. The only species of Neonemobius that should be in range is N. palustris - but that species is restricted to sphagnum bogs. N. cubensis has been recorded moving up into Ohio recently - so it makes sense that they may be in New York. The song is a match for cubensis.
