Moved from Staphylininae.

Been staring at this a long time
I've finally figured this out: Diochus schaumii. Nothing else in Staphylininae has a neck this thin PLUS elytra that don't overlap. While this species is highly variable in color, the colors of this specimen are fairly close to another photo here.
