Enicospilus glabratus

Enicospilus glabratus
Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, California, USA
November 17, 2018
Noticed we didn't have any of this common species on BG so I decided to put one on for reference. Forewing with discosubmarginal cell bearing a cluster of closely interspaced hairs in anterodistal corner (the forehead of the horse-head shaped cell). Try to provide a shot like this for if you want a species-level identification, especially for this complex.

Gauld, I. D. (1988). The species of the Enicospilus americanus complex (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) in eastern North America. Systematic entomology, 13(1), 31-53.
