nymph - Cyrtopeltocoris ajo

nymph - Cyrtopeltocoris ajo
Whetstone Mts., Cochise County, Arizona, USA
July 19, 2019
Size: 1.8 mm
Coordinates: 31.7797, -110.3891
Collected by J. T. Botz by beating mesquite branches. ID by JTB by association with the adults. As with the adults, this immature form was associated with Crematogaster sp. ants. I think it resembles more the minor workers in body shape, while the adults resemble more the majors (with a broadly expanded gaster).
