Cinara strobi? - Cinara strobi

Cinara strobi? - Cinara strobi
Thompsontown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 27, 2019
Under white pine.

Moved

Moved from Aphids.

Cinara for sure
Not sure on species, generally you need to know the hostplant.

Well...
...it was in my backyard, and the white pine it was under was the only conifer in the vicinity.

Sorry, didn't see that you said it was under White Pine.
Four possiblities in Cinara on Pinus strobus: atlantica, pergandei, pinea, strobi. Trying to find pics of specimens I see some IDed as atlantica that also have this general look, but I think they're misidentified. The descriptions from Aphids on the world's plants match C. strobi.

Neat resource.
Thanks for sharing. :)
