Triorla interrupta - female

Triorla interrupta - Female
Naples (Golden Gate Estates), Collier County, Florida, USA
May 13, 2005
Size: Approx. 2-3 cm
We live in a subtropical hardwood hammock in rural southwest Florida, near the western border of The Everglades. This photo was taken at the southern edge of the property, near a wildflower-carpeted clearing that attracts many types of hymenoptera (and the ubiquitous mosquitos, of course).

Robber florida
That is the abdominal pattern and markings of a female Triorla interrupta. Very grayish compared to our brownish Arkansas variety. Lovely shot.
