by Duran & Gough is cited on BugGuide here
and referenced at the post-2012 Nearctic Caraboidea Registry here
. Nomenclatural changes now needed at BugGuide to comply with the latest taxonomy are as follows:
(1) Move genus Cylindera
to new genus Parvindela
with the exception of species viridisticta
which is now in genus Brasiella
(2) Move junior synonym Ellipsoptera rubicunda
(Harris) to Ellipsoptera marutha
Dow, the valid name still used in Duran & Gough (2019) and the second edition of "A Field Guide to the Tiger Beetles of United States & Canada" by Pearson et al. (2015).
(3) Change spelling Dromochorus "pruinina"
to Dromochorus pruininus
(4) Regarding the BugGuide pages Omus laevis
LeConte and Omus sequoiarum
Crotch, these two species were omitted from the 2nd edition of the field guide above which suggests that they might not be current valid names. Both were treated as junior synonyms of Omus californicus californicus
Eschscholtz in the "Catalogue of the Tiger Beetles of Canada and the United States" by Freitag (1999).
Hopefully a BugGuide editor with page manipulating skill will bring tiger beetle taxonomy up to date.
