I assume this to be some type of Shieldback Locust. Unable to narrow down further than that with what I have seen online. Do not have a field guide for this type of insect. Any help would be appreciated. This individual was a slow-ish mover, first noticed when it hopped from trail. The movement initially made me think it was a small frog due to short hop, and width/"fatness".
