Hemierana rileyi Heffern, Botero & Santos-Silva, 2019
named in honor of
Edward G. Riley, colleague and friend of innumerable coleopterists, an indefatigable collector and observer of all Coleoptera.

holotype female, TL: 8.35 mm
paratype male, TL: 7.60 mm

pronotum entirely orange on wide anterior area.

HOLOTYPE
Range
known from two spmns coll'ed in the Davis Mountains of w. TX.

holotype and paratype found on the same plant tentatively identified as
Brickellia californica (Asteraceae).

both known spmns coll'ed in June.

Type Locality: Texas: Jeff Davis Co., Davis Mountain Preserve, Mount Livermore, Mount Livermore Road (2,400–2,500 m;
30.63467º N / 104.16899º W (± 350 m)), 17.VI.2014, E. G. Riley col.
